Angela Alvarez was born and raised in the Bronx of New York with Dominican and Colombian roots.

At the age of 5, she picked up a disposable camera and fell in love with the idea of being able to capture moments of time ever since, finding ways to take pictures from disposable cameras, to flip phones, to game consoles, and finally her own camera collection.

She has worked at the Brotherhood/SisterSol, The Apollo Theater, and is currently enrolled in Photography and Imaging at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, with bright plans for the future.
